Undergraduate Mentorship Information
Undergraduates can get paid to research. In research mentorships, students work directly with a faculty member on meaningful research questions, giving them excellent work experience and often opportunities for publishing. To apply, follow the instructions listed below for your department and submit the necessary applications by the department’s deadline.
CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY
Students can apply for an Undergraduate Research Award each fall, winter, and spring/summer. A new application must be submitted each time. Click here for application information and deadlines. Flyers will be posted on bulletin boards and digital signage announcing when applications are being accepted as well as announcing the deadline for each award period. Students must also attend mandatory instruction meetings that educate them on how to write a proposal. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Mortensen in C104 BNSN.
