Enantioselectivity of Enzyme-like Bi-functional Catalysis
We have been synthesizing a-helical peptide backbones, and functionalizing them to perform enzyme like catalysis. Our aim is to analyze the enantioselectivity of specific reactions when catalyzed by our bifunctional peptides. We have selected various possible modifications of our peptide backbone, and we plan to synthesis these variations with the aim to increase enantioselectivity of our products. Thus increasing enzyme like catalysis in the formation of complex organic molecules.
