Title

Unlock your Brain Wallet by playing this one simple game

Abstract

Memorizing a 128-bit seed to produce cryptocurrency account keys is known as a "Brain Wallet". SeedQuest is a game-engine based software tool which maps actions taken in a set of 16 virtual environments to bits in a seed, intended to take advantage of spatial and procedural memory to memorize a secure seed as a sequence of 18 actions. We use varied groups of spaced repetitions to estimate minimal repetitions to learn a seed, and test retention after 7 and 21 days. We compare retention rates with a prior study of 56-bit secrets and with the same seed encoded as 10 words.
