High-Precision Motorized Mirror Controller with 3D Printed Parts
We have developed a simple, low-cost, high-precision, motorized mirror controller. The mount can be quickly assembled for one tenth or less the cost of comparable commercial options while achieving better angular range (10 degrees) and comparable precision (6-20 arcseconds). This is done using a standard kinematic mirror mount, high-pitch screws and stepper motors held together by 3D printed parts. The mount can be controlled by a python script on a Raspberry Pi connected to the motors.
