Probabilistic Modeling of the 911 Emergency Response Process
The 911 emergency response system in the United States represents a critical cyber-physical process. Thousands of individuals depend on this critical life-saving emergency response process every day. This research investigates the viability of modeling the components of the 911 process as interconnected queuing systems to better understand and address problems with 911 and the system's sensitivity to unexpected disruptions, such as cyber attacks.
