Gifts of Cash

A majority of the gifts made to BYU come in the form of cash—via check, credit card, or wire transfer. A gift of cash entitles you to the most generous federal tax deduction available for charitable contributions. You may deduct up to 50 percent of your adjusted gross income for gifts of cash, and you may carry over any amount above that figure for up to five additional years.

Checks for gifts to the College of Physical & Mathematical Sciences should be made payable to “Brigham Young University” and mailed to:

Attn: Brent Hall

(Please mark on the check what you would like your gift to support)

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many employers have generous matching programs that will match employees’ donations to BYU. Your Human Resources office should know if your company has such a program, or you can call us and we will check for you. Your gift can have an even greater impact if your company (or your spouse’s company) has a matching gift program.

If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, fill it out completely, sign it, and send it to:

We will do the rest.

The impact of your gift could be doubled or even tripled!

Some companies also match gifts made by retirees. (BYU’s Federal Tax ID: 87-0217280)
