High Precision Mirror Control With a 3D Printed Apparatus
We have developed a simple, low-cost, high-precision, motorized mirror controller. The mount can be quickly assembled for one tenth or less the cost of comparable commercial options while achieving better angular range and comparable precision. This is done using a standard kinematic mirror mount, high-pitch screws and stepper motors held together by a 3D printed apparatus. The mount can be controlled through a python script on a Raspberry Pi connected to the motors. We are currently working to characterize and improve the performance.
