Validation of a New Program that Performs Multiple Genome Comparisons (Kleuren)
Evolutionary relationships between species play a crucial role in foundational biological discoveries. While many approaches have been adopted to build evolutionary trees, none as of yet has considered the entire genome in multiple genome comparisons, due to the computational complexity of such an analysis. Kleuren is a proposed computer program that attempts to efficiently perform this task, but must first be validated biologically and computationally. Here, we present the first steps towards validating Kleuren. Our initial procedures indicate the potential efficacy in the construction of phylogenetic trees through the Kleuren program.
