Numerical Studies on the Effects of Time Delays to Network Synchronization
There are many instances where is useful to know if a network will synchronize. This can help us to avoid problems such as too many packages accumulating at certain warehouses or power grids wasting too much power through heat. When a network is modeled we can test parameters to predict which factors are important for synchronization. One such factor is the placement and duration of time delays within the network. Through numerical simulations we will attempt to determine under what conditions time-delays do not disrupt a network's ability to synchronize.
