Stability of traveling waves in multi-species combustion
We discuss our work concerning the stability of traveling waves in the one-dimensional reactive Navier-Stokes equations modeling multi-species combustion. Specifically, we are numerically approximating the profile of the traveling wave. When more species are included in the combustion process, the profile approximation becomes increasingly challenging. We describe the methods we use to solve the profile equation and our progress in determining the stability of these traveling wave solutions.
