Title

Community Noise Levels of Rockets

Abstract

As the amount and frequency of rockets being launched into space increases, there arises a need for community noise level data  and an established and tested protocol for measuring noise levels of rockets. First, a system and method for measuring the sound levels of the rockets needs to be developed and tested. Our aim is to develop such a system that can be deployed easily and can withstand any reasonable weather conditions. We also aim to find the ideal types of microphones to use, where they should be located, and how they should be oriented to measure the best and most relevent data.
