Title

Nickel(0) Catalyzed Cross-Coupling Reactions of Allylic Alcohols with Boronic Acids and Amines

Abstract

The objective of our research is to investigate cross-coupling reactions of allylic alcohols with boronic acids and amines. The reactions were catalyzed by Nickel(0) catalysts and N-Heterocyclic Carbene/Phosphine (NHC) ligands. Boronic acid reactions were conducted with the Nickel catalyst and N-heterocyclic Carbene/phosphene(NHC) ligands. The bidentate nature of the NHC ligand extended the catalyst lifetime and helped produce high yields of the corresponding cross-coupling product. Amination reactions were also catalyzed with Nickel catalysts and the NHC Ligand. However, a second metallic ligand was added to accelerate catalyst regeneration.
