Muon spin relaxation (MuSR) is a technique that uses Muons as magnetic probes to investigate the magnetic structure of a material at the atomic level. Although it is a powerful technique, current software options to analyze the MuSR data are somewhat outdated and cumbersome, limiting the scientific impact the technique can have. To rectify this, we are developing a modern, python-based program called MuFyt. It receives an input file containing MuSR data and allows user-defined fitting functions to model the data, along with a convenient options for data visualization. The end goal is a user-friendly program that will help MuSR experimenters progress in their research more effectively.
