HYDROLIC REVIEW
STATE JOBS--Salt Lake City, UT
The incumbent in this position provides hydrologic review of coal mine permitting actions to determine whether the action will cause adverse impacts to the hydrologic systems in and around the areas to be mined. This includes determination of groundwater flow patterns,characterization of surface and groundwater systems, analysis of surface and groundwater monitoring data (quality and quantity), post-mining water concerns, etc. Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in hydrology, water resources, watershed management or closely related field; General understanding/awareness of rules and regulations pertaining to hydrology; Knowledge of hydrology/water resources specific to Utah; Knowledge of surface and groundwater geology, geochemistry and complex hydrologic systems.
